Class Descriptions
Privates
A private session allows you to work one-on-one with an instructor who will design and implement a workout specific to your needs and physical goals. Private sessions include work on the Cadillac, Mat, Ball, TRX, Ballet Barre, Reformer, Ladder Barrel and/or stability chair.
Semi-Privates
Semi-privates are designed to let two people of similar physical fitness levels work out together, sharing the attention of one instructor and the cost of the class.

Reformer Classes
Reformer Classes
The reformer works your entire body without putting stress on your joints. It challenges your body with resistance springs and straps that help stretch the body.
Jumpboard Classes
Using the Jumpboard and/or Cardio Tramp attached to the Reformer, this class guides you through a heart-pumping series of choreographed jumps and jogs. Incorporating weighted toning balls for a total body workout with a heavy dose of heart-strengthening cardio, this is a FUN way to add to your traditional Pilates practice.
Group Fitness Classes
Mat Classes
Mat classes are open to all levels of fitness. No machines are involved, so resistance is created using your own body and small equipment such as therabands, fitness circles and toning balls.
Ball Classes
Ball class is our most intense Pilates mat workout. Incorporating use of the Swedish stability ball and 2 - 3 pound toning balls, this workout challenges balance and ups the intensity like no other class you've taken before.
Deep Stretch Classes
Deep Stretch class at East Street Pilates begins with a full-body 15 minute warm-up to get the blood pumping and the muscles ready for deep stretching. We flow immediately into 40 minutes of both self-stretching and assisted deep stretching, respecting your body’s limits while working towards increased flexibility. Stretching the muscles is an integral part of achieving the long, lean look that Pilates is famous for. This class is a great opportunity to check in with your body on a weekly basis and is an excellent complement to your Pilates practice.
Barre Classes
Based on traditional Ballet Barre work with a heavy dose of Cardio and upper body toning thrown in for balance, this music-driven class is so much FUN! The class is designed to strengthen your muscles from shoulders to toes and create a beautiful "dancer's" body. Lots of emphasis on butt tightening and thigh whittling exercises, and of course, plenty of abs. Each class ends with a relaxing stretch series and sends you out the door feeling light on your feet, strong and tall.
Cardio Mat Classes
This is a fat-burning, heart-pumping Pilates Mat Class. This class is specifically designed to aid in weight loss and tighten your tummy with intervals of Classic Pilates exercises mixed with aerobic movement. If you feel like the one thing missing from your exercise arsenal is "Cardio" - then this is the class for you! Let's be honest, for most of us, Cardio on the treadmill or the bike is just plain boring and going outside isn't going to be much fun till spring rolls around again. So mix it up and get that body moving! Cardio Mat!
TRX Classes
TRX is a suspension training system that builds muscular balance, joint stability, mobility and core strength. With over 300 upper and lower body exercises, boredom is not an option. Just like with Pilates, your TRX training can be adjusted to be more or less challenging depending on your fitness level. TRX trains you to perform better in any sport, improve posture and prevent future injuries, and MOST IMPORTANTLY to lose weight effectively.
